Sedation Dentistry — Anxiety-Free Care

Dental anxiety is real — and we take it seriously. Our safe, proven sedation dentistry options let even the most anxious patients relax completely through their appointment. You'll wake up with a healthier smile and often little to no memory of the procedure. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation.

Gentle Tooth Extractions

When a tooth cannot be saved through restorative treatment, a gentle extraction is the safest solution. Dr. Swonke performs both simple and surgical extractions with precision and care, minimizing discomfort and promoting fast healing. We also discuss tooth replacement options (implants, bridges) at the same appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the questions our patients ask most often about general dentistry.

Most patients benefit from cleanings every 6 months. However, patients with gum disease or other conditions may need cleanings every 3–4 months. Dr. Swonke will recommend the schedule that's right for you during your exam.
Absolutely. Dental laser technology has been in use for over 30 years and is FDA-approved. Our lasers are calibrated specifically for dental use and are among the safest, most effective tools in modern dentistry.
Most healthy adults and children are candidates for sedation dentistry. We'll review your medical history and anxiety level at your consultation to determine the right sedation option for you.
We use local anesthetic for all extractions, so you won't feel pain during the procedure. Post-procedure soreness is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief. Sedation is also available.
We work with most major dental insurance plans. Contact us at 713-795-0608 to verify your coverage before your appointment.
